Metal hoses generally consist of three main components: the corrugated hose body, the braided sleeve, and the end fittings. The corrugated hose forms the core structure and provides flexibility; the braided sleeve offers reinforcement and shielding; and the end fittings facilitate connection. Various connection methods are used depending on specific application requirements: welding the three components together results in a "welded type"; mechanical clamping results in a "mechanically clamped type"; and a combination of these methods results in a "hybrid type."
Metal hose products include hoses for oil suction and delivery, steam, sandblasting, acid and alkali handling, food processing, oxygen lancing, and various specialized configurations. They are widely used in industries such as machinery, chemicals, petroleum, metallurgy, and food processing.
What is the pressure range for pressure-resistant metal hoses? The pressure range is generally PN 0.6–32.0 MPa, with a maximum of 42.0 MPa. The metal hose serves as the primary pressure-bearing component within the pipeline system and acts as a protective sheath for the corrugated hose; depending on the pipeline pressure and the specific application environment, one or more layers of stainless steel wire or steel strip braiding may be selected.
